$35 engine stand from Harbor Freight. Sure is easier to work on the transmission on the stand than on the workbench. It's nice to be able to rotate it, get to the other side without reaching over it, etc. Easy to store too, since only one bolt holds the horizontal strut to the upright.

not as easy to move as that baby in your arms, though<G>

and not quite as noisy--at times.<G>

or as messy. at times.

nor as proudful...at times.

I've seen two of them used together for a car rotisserie.

Yeah...we had fun with him today. My son and I were putting up crown molding in his house. Just my son, my grandson and I were there so we had to stop working whenever he needed feeding, changing, etc. The little guy was a trooper - he didn't even flinch at the sounds of the miter saw, air compressor or nail gun. Grandkids are the best :D

I agree with grandkids being the best Joe! My son HATES cars, to him they are a necessary evil. His daughter though, at four years old, was out in the garage over the weekend checking the B's tire pressures!

I've got to do a job where this type of monting of a tranny would definitely make the job easier, Joe, thanks for planting that idea in my head.

Funny isn't it ...
Some of the best ideas going are the simplest ...
Thank you Joe ...

So now I need 2 of those little suckers ....
No, stands ... not grandsons ... already got two of those ...
