Got 2 Passenger side Miata Gen1 Seats for my BGT. Its in a nice condition. Cleaned with some Green Stuff and here they are. Here is my plan before they go into the car.

Install Seat Heater. I know you would ask why would a MG need heaters

Install new spakers

May spray a fabric paint
[corrected "LEFT" to "Passenger side"]

I did the same thing several years ago. Very comfortable, the cloth seats also breath so you don't stick to them and the speakers in the headrest are great. I replaced the speakers, factory speakers in the headrest..

Vijay,
Nice looking seats but if I may, you've actually got two right seats. The recline handle goes on the outside so unless your images are reversed, you've got two rights.
Not a big deal but something different about the right seats compared to the left; the seat rails are about an inch wider than the left seat so won't line up with the original captive floor nuts. If you aren't planning to use these captive nuts, this issue is irrelevant.
I'm curious how you ended up with two seats from the same side.
I've been reading about these seat covert ions for a while and I'm confused as I find the seats in my MGB GT very comfortable. So why get rid of stock seats?

Better support, side bolstering, and adjustability.
Tanny has a good question. I installed Miata seats for a couple of reasons.
1) I needed seats anyway as my bodyshell didn't have any and 2) I didn't want to cut holes in the body for speakers and had heard the Miata seats had the provision for head restraint speakers.
With that in mind, when I built my '69 GT, I wanted original '69 seats so had a set made up and reupholstered. They were very comfortable even without the side-bolstering.
Wow, you really scored on that deal!

Yes Rick, I really did..

Simon, No, for US and Canada those are Passenger side Seats
I'm curious how you ended up with two seats from the same side.

I bought it from a Body shop and he seems to have parted many Miatas, accumulated several seats. Usually driver seats are worn out and passenger side seats are in very good condition. L-R pairs are highly sought after and are sold $200+ for a pair, locally. I didn't wanna spend much, negotiated to down, as I was buying 2 Passenger seats and he was happy to get rid of 'em.

Tannyo, You gotta test drive one with the Miata Seats.. One thing that I hated most in both my MGBs are Seats. First thing I did was to put Miata Seats..
Ah yeah, passenger side seats are the right seats. ;)
Good deal regardless but make note of my earlier comment about the seat rails being wider on the passenger seat. They won't line up with the factory captive nuts if you plan to mount them using those nuts.
There is a kit to mount these in the B. You should be able to find it using the search function. I made my own brackets to mount mine.
Oh My!! What am I thinking!! You are right, when you said Right (was :S ) Not sure what I was thinking...
For my 79B, I made my own adapters and plan to make another set of adapters for 67BGT.. Thanks for the follow-up and correcting me RIGHTly (:P)
No problem, Vijay. Sometimes we need to just need to look at things a bit differently. :)
I didn't know you'd already done the conversion so you'll have no problems. Keep us posted on your progress.
Cheers
Simon
I'd like to know what kind of seat heaters you will be using.
How difficult is it to get the skins off the seats to install them?
Nice write-up on the Miata seat Installation Jeff. Its fairly ease to instal heaters.
I'll be using Dorman 628-040 Universal Seat Heater Kit. Miata Net has good info abt Seat upholstering
My Nissan Leaf friends have had good success with ones from eBay. Less expensive, but good ones.
Hope this helps..
