What is the best way to afix the emblem to the front grill bezel? I don't want to use something that is going to attack the paint on the back side of the emblem. Thanks in advance...

Gary,
welcome to the fourm. When I replaced mine, I gave the backside of the new one a light spray of clearcoat. To attach it, I just used a dab of silicone sealer inside, on the pointy edges.

3M Plastic Emblem and Trim Adhesive, available at auto parts stores.
Works a treat!
I used a dab of JB Weldbond. Not that it was my first choice but rather what was on hand.

Where so many glues and other materials have solvents or chemical activity that can wipe out the paints and plastics used to make these emblems (and other things like them), it is probably best, overtime, to pick an adhesive which is formulated just for this application, like the 3M product Sven mentions above. Other things may work, but that may be more a matter of good luck than design. Over the years, I have made my own discoveries (some not so good) using other stuff, but in the end, I have become a believer in the notion that when you are dealing with chemically reactive materials and compatibility, I have done better with purpose made products than my luck. FWIW
Thanks guys... I had never seen 3M Plastic Emblem and Trim Adhesive before, and I had to go to 2 different places to find it. The emblem looks great in the grill!!
