What an amazing show!

Highlights for me:

Stevie Wonder "Superstition".

Aretha just standing there singing Chain of Fools and putting out a million times more soul than Annie Lennox with all her gyrating and facial expressions. And I'm a big fan of Annie Lennox.

Little Anthony and the Imperials filling MSG with just 4 voices.

Simon & Garfunkle. That they just can't get along with each other makes their reunions very special.

Metallica. I'm not a fan at all but they were having so much fun it was contagious.

Springsteen and Patty Smith with U2 "Because The Night".

Mick And Fergy with U2. Who knew Fergy could ROCK?

Jeff Beck with Buddy Guy. Ask Eric Clapton who the best guitar player in the world is ... he'll tell you it's Buddy Guy. Just like Jeff Beck said, Jimi learned most of what he knew from Buddy Guy.

Jeff Beck with Billy Gibbons "Foxy Lady".

Jeff Beck's incredible "A Day In The Life" .

Sam Moore still the main Soul Man.

John Fogerty and Springsteen "Oh, Pretty Woman".

Darlene Love!!! So far and away my favorite female rock and roll singer. On this year's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ballot. Should have been in there years ago. She has sung on over 250 #1 rock and roll hits. That's right, 250 Number One Hits!! Think of your favorite song ... odds are Darlene Love is singing on it. And her own hit "Christmas, Baby Please Come Home" is the greatest rock and roll Christmas song of them all.

Sprinsteen and Billy Joel "New York State Of Mind".

I can't wait for the DVDs to come out. Hopefully there will be plenty more on them. The HBO Special was only about half of the two shows.

BTW...what was on the BACK of Anni Lennox' t-shirt?

I never got a good look. Seems as though the front ("HIV Positive") has caused some controversy.
