On some of the previous threads there has been several inquiries on updating the MGB heater motor.
I had restored the heater box, but my blower motor started to get hot and smoke.
I purchased a new switch, and then a fuse panel with relays from Eric. I also purchased a new blower motor from Gordon at the BH. His replacement motor was not only a weekend internet special, but it was exceptionally good quality. Much heavier and slightly longer that stock, but it fit in. One must drill out the rivits that hold the original motor into the bracket, and re rivit the replacement motor. Everything lined up perfectly. The new motor is a little hottie, and it really puts out especially when all the power in through Limeys relays. Probably no need to go shopping and scrounging all over when the good stuff is right at our fingertips.
IMHO. David

looks great.
The issue I usually run into is not enough coolant flow through the core..In extreme temps, the silly stock style heater valve, when not leaking, just doesn't flow enough volume.
I did the heater valve mod on my GT, worked VERY WELL with the factory motor. Too bad that started leaking and was replaced with a stock valve again.. I need to redo the mod on that one..
This motor with the heater valve upgrade..would be a winning combo for sure!

Limey likes it!
And he is dreaming up an electric servo heater valve - but don't hold your breath!
