Heater controls on a '72.

I think my controls and/or knobs have never been right on my '72GT. There are a bunch of different dials and controllers listed in the Moss catalogue. I currently have the heat control on the left and the defrost/vent on the right. Is this correct? If so, my early style knobs are wrong as the arrows point the wrong way. Or my controllers are switched?

That's the way mine are on my early 73.

It sounds to me like somebody has switched something. The heat control should be on the left and the heater/demister on the right. Apparently some cars in some markets did have things switched and even the rotation of the controls reversed. I suspect someone replaced the knobs (they are prone to cracking) with ones for the other-handed controller.
