Thanks Gerry, it's interesting. Someone linked a running engine video on the BBS a few days ago but it didn't work.

It is a 4 stroke - but for some reason, the video seems to omit the full exhaust strokes (at least you never see the piston return to the top on the exhaust stroke).
Also, you'll notice, as someone had pointed out in another forum, that the intake valve is rotating.
Neat...One more reason to let the engine warm up for at least 2 secs
Way cool! The "combustion" is not quite what I always pictured. Interesting the amount of flame around the intake valve.
I thought the combustion would be much more explosive but maybe that's just because of the very slow motion of the film.
Bill - I do believe that some engines (probably OHC) design it so the valves do rotate. Probably to get a more even wear pattern on the seat.
Amazing. Now imagine that taking place 45 times in one second as it would at 5500rpm.
