Honest mechanic in Chicago

looking for one for my daughter, she has a Chevy S-10....and needs a good mechanic..

This guy is pretty good......for a price. Seems he "fixes" a lot of things.

(sorry, couldn't resist. Having a hard time with honest and Chicago being in the same sentence)

I checked Snopes. It's false. There are no honest mechanics in Chicago.

There is one here in the Naperville area that is honest and straight up. If you are interested I can PM you the info. I do not know of any in Chicago however, sorry.

...no good mechanics in Chicago....?????? wow........she had a water pump put on her 96 S-10 and the "mechanic" forgot to put the hose clamp back on the radiator hose.... she drove up to Michigan Sat nite and Sun morn I took a look...WOW anti freeze all over.....she was very lucky it didn't blow off on the hiway at nite. He also claimed to have replaced the D door hinges with new, they are just welded repaired, a washer and a new pin welded on, $290.00 for this sham job. This guy is taking advantage of a young lady,what a pri*k.

Is she in or near the south burbs? (Wade Keene in Homewood). Or is she in the City?
I'd have to ask my sister on that one. Check with the Chicagoland MG site. I'm sure they would help you out.

Chicago is a a big place.... you live south the last thing you want is a mechanic north, etc. If she's up far north burbs I've got a few good names.
