Thats a fiddly task
What i did was put a long strip of low tack masking tape down the hood... Measure the spear out on the tape, then fine tune with the eyeball
The hardware is slideable ...mark for the holes on the tape and then install the hardware in the spear and then drill the holes...each stud will slide forward or backwards about 3 -4 inches... So there is some play
Buy the actual hardware made for the spear... It will save alot of anger and time...gen hardware will work...but its a long fiddly fight

I have the general hardware.
The question I am asking is where are the holes located that I need to drill?
Thanks in advance, Taylor
I edited my 2nd post to ask the proper question, my bad just bumping this I guess
Thanks!
If you place the hardware in the spear... They can only move about 3 inches both ways before getting stuck or falling out...there are 4 or 5 blots....each a differant size and the biggist at the front and the smallest at the rear
Basically you set the hardware in and lay the spear with the hardware along the low tack masking tape ...find your center and drill with in the middle of that 3 inch travel range of each of the bolts
Make sure you have the correct hardware from moss or VB... Other wise im not sure how off the shelf general hardware will work...that would take some work to set up
