One thing I couldn't figure out today while stripping the interior, was how to get the panel on the very back of the rear bulkhead off..
I tried to drill out what looked like rivets.. I tried to hammer the nubs out from the trunk....
The rivet things just spin.
There must be an easy way?

Hold the drill at an angle so that the rivets are bound in their holes by the side pressure. jack
Jam a screwdriver behind the rivets to stop them spinning and drill them out.

Don't know if my arms are that long, but I will give it a shot Mike.
Do it all from inside the car, it doesn't take much pressure to stop the rivit spinning so you won't damage the panel with the screwdriver.
If you're worried, there is a cup washer between the rivet and the panel, you could jam a small screwdriver between the washer and the rivet.
The Wiz is right. That is how I did it.
A - It takes a bit of practice.
B - Make sure you get them all. I missed one when I was doing it and it took me a bit to find it.
Yep - I could not believe how many rivets they used to attach a simple piece of cardboard. When I mounted my new one, I used double-stick velcro. Easy to remove in the future if I ever want to, and no holes or rivet heads showing.

Sounds easier. The yellow car looks great in your pic.

Thanks. :)
Mine was on with screws. I assumed they all were since the other panels had screws as well.
