Well today was a fruitful day. The engine is resting comfortably in the mounts and nothing got scratched or damaged in the process. :) Now tomorrow it'll be installing the starter and beginning to get the rest of the ancilliaries hooked up. What a long road this project has been. I've just got to stay focused on what to do and keep chugging away. Sooner or later, The Bearcar will ride again.

Thank you all gentlemen. It does sort of looked like I put it in a crib doesn't it. :) Even though this seems to me to be a major accomplishment, on the grand scale of things it is only the very beginning. I am still making plans for the interior, '69 high back seats in a charcoal leather with the cockpit trimmed out in Black Walnut.

Thank you very much Mick. Your's as well as the others words are very gracious as well as a real boost just knowing that the work being done to The Bearcar will be appreciated. today it was the rear crossmember and hookup the drive shaft. I had modified the Xmember by slotting the hole in the yoke and drilling the access hole in the bottom plate and that really was a big help, however, when it came time to bolt the Xmember up to the body, I had a devil of a time chasing the threads in the captured nuts. Once that was accomplished, a little thread sealant and some new grade 5 fasteners and all was well.
