I need to tow my car for about 10 miles, but I am sure I read somewhere that either the front or the rear wheels need to be off the ground?? I was planning on just towing with a rope or tow arm/bar.. any pearls of wisdom lads/ ladies?

I flat tow mine all of the time. I use a bar mounted where you bolt in the front bumper. You can leave the car in neutral or disconnect the drive shaft.
