Yes,. I am sure he is worried,. ther have been cases in texas and arizona,.
lawsuits,. where illegal aliens actually won , and took possesion of american owned ranches,.
amazing,. where is the outrage?
there was a group called ranch rescue,. I think they were shut down,.

Lets' be clear on who is bringing the lawsuit. It is the Mexican-American Legal Defense Fund bringing the suit. The illegals named as plaintiffs are just window dressing.

Perhaps he should have shot them and planted guns on 'um. It's hard for dead people to sue you. :) j/k Actually, it's a shame that the ones breaking the law are the ones who are being able to bring the suit. The judge should toss the case, toss the illegals in jail for a spell then ship them back and he should find the lawyer(s) who brought he case in contempt and toss them in jail as well. I'd be willing to be that, if the rancher would be a humanitarian and give the illegals food and water he'd be in trouble for aiding illegals entering the country.

Well there you have it, tacit approval by the government and when citizens do what the government is supposed to do, we get sued. How is it that foreigners, illegals at that, have access to our courts?

The First Amendment to the US Constitution prohibits limitations to the right to petition the government for redress of grievances, ...

Derek, I don't think the 1st ammendment covers the Mexicans, which is why the Rancher is sued by an American Lawyer on behalf of the Meixican. They must have some fee arrangement. All by itself it would cover them to stand on our street corner and make speechs but if they are here illegally I would think they could not use it as a defense..

So if a tourist is walking down the sidewalk and you run him over with your bicycle, you don't think the tourist would be able to sue you? I think the tourist would find it just as easy to find a lawyer to take the case as an American Citizen!

Anyway, I'm not pretending to know your Constitution, but maybe the 14th?

...some day some one will make a stand and hold off the Gov't.....Rosa Parks did it just by sitting, when will the great white hope make the same stand? I am including people of ALL ethnics in this question of justice? We need tort reform now more than ever......the trial lawyers lobby is very powerful................it needs to be crushed....

Derek is absolutely correct. In addition, there are treaties that provide reciprocity of equal protection rights.

Arizona merely needs to pass a state law allowing land owners to use reasonable force to detain trespassers.

Frankly, I wonder why these land owners (and border counties aned states) don't sue the federal government for abrogating its constitutional duty to secure the border.

I wasn't trying to be a lawyer I was only trying to think logically about the 1st ammendment. I agree if I run down a tourist he has the right to sue under our laws and be represented by an American lawyer. I just did not think the two examples were comparable.

It appears they dismissed some of the charges against the rancher but found him guilty of abuse and have fined him $78,000.
