Got this email this morning from a fella in Toronto regarding my Kijiji listing for my 74.5 GT:
"Good morning,
I do like the looks of your MG. Very nice job.
Would you be interested in a motorcycle trade?
I have a fabulous 2003 Suzuki Hayabusa all done up with a strech. She is black and beautiful.
Regards,
Wayne"
Might be a good trade if I knew what the hell a Suzuki Hayabusa was I suppose!!!!
Thinking though... If I had MIG welded my car with Gas welds instead of Flux core, would I maybe get an offer of a newer bike? X(
Interesting trade?

Sure it's a good trade...if you want to be dead by the end of the day...There are some CRAZY YouTube vids of guys in Europe turbocharging these things like crazy - 400 to 500 hp crazy!
That is an interesting offer. The 'Busa is [s]crazy[/s] stupid fast. I'm not a fan of the stretched drag bike look though. I think it narrows the appeal and would make it harder to flip. If it were stock it might be an offer to consider, but a custom bike is like a custom car, to get max value you have to be able to find just the right buyer.

They pretty horrible as far as sport bikes go. Tons of power but too big and heavy to compete with 600c sport bikes on the street. They are the Viper of sport bikes, an overpowered freight train.
Humm..
I have no idea why I didn't give the trade a thought after watching that genius making fire..
2 different kind of motor riders, those that have been down and those that are going down! You are a wise man Paul.
I think you should. All kinds of extra benefits by owning one of these machines. Don't believe me? See http://www.desmoinesregister.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2012120202026
