Well I got the final wiring bugs done, at least on the meter. Checked the points...the PO had replaced points, capand wire, and the plugs. He never set the gap before he retired from the project. Did that and added some new fuel and turned the key. Started sputtering once the carbs got wet, and then she caught!
Yeah!!!! Not smooth by any stretch, but running anyway! Ran for about 4 minutes and had to shut her down when I noticed a bad radiator hose.
I'm pretty pleased right now! Looks like we got another B back in the fleet, eventually anyway.
Its alive!!!!!

Two great monets in MG restoration...
1.. turning the ratchet to "put on" from take off
2.. starting it up for the first time..

Lots of bugs to iron John. It will be a while until I'm on the road. But thanks to all for the encouragement and to Skye for this website... it's been a huge help for this novice MG-o-phile!
