Just installed the HS4's Jimmy rebuilt for me. As expected, they perform just as good as they look. Another job well done!
Thanks Jimmy!

ps: please ignore the 'concourse' condition of the engine bay! She's a driver - not meant to be a looker!!

Clay,

Thank you again, as well!!

So, you are all fine tuned and running well?

How do you feel about that filter, now that it is installed?

Jimmy - They're just about dialed in. It's amazing how much better the throttle response is now as compared to the dgv. I'll let you know regarding the K&N setup.
So far, so good. The needle choice you recommended seems to be just about spot on for this combination. I'll keep you posted as I rack on some more miles. At least I'll be able to see when the filters are dirty ;-)

Did you polish the tops of the carbs or are those the chrome cover things??

It's hard to beat the twin SU's.

Jimmy polished the dashpots. Only wish you could have seen them before!!! This set came off a 70gt donor car I had back in the early 80's. They had 100k miles of crud on them and then they sat on a shelf in my basement covered in sawdust and cobwebs. It was an amazing transformation!
I'm not real fond of the slip on covers. Metal polishing isn't hard - just alittle dirty. I had alot of practice polishing all the copper and brass on the old handtub you see in my sig. It's actually kind of rewarding to see the difference before and after.
