Found this locally and just wanted to get some first impressions before I actually call for a viewing.

Worth looking at this weekend, you think?

Go look at it RIGHT NOW!

If you come back tomorrow and tell us that you bought it for $500 I will lobby for your canonization. LOL

There's a rough B for sale down there, also. Been sitting up for years, paints rough of course, but the body doesn't look too bad and it's got OD and wires. Guys asking $750.

Brian - you perked my ears up with that one... a roadster B or a GT?

If the body is solid, that could save me a lot of time and trouble on my roadster.

If there's minimal rust that seems like a good deal. At least you know where to look for rust! Man, I love steel dash gt's!

For that price, I would wire the money and rush to pick it up. THat interior looks great.

Thanks Brian. I guess I assumed that it would be a CB car instead.

Lookin' don't cost a thing, though!

Hey Mike,

Keep your eyes open and take your time. I agonized over getting a GT for well over a year. I shopped Ebay just about every day, checked out MG club sites, MG resellers, local and national "craiglists, ubuy, collector car trader (good site). If you'll wait, the exceptional deal will come to you. There's one guy on the internet that boasted of getting a MG GT for 750.00 from the wreckers that just needed some TLC. I just bought a GT in my own town from an initial MG club site classified contact for $2000. (check out the pic) Here is an ad from the Texas MG resister classified page - http://www.tmgr.org/ (If you don't find what you are looking for there, try the links. here's the ad -
