Before I start searching for another speedo and after doing a search I'm still not sure.
I have a 76 with a 1000 TPM speedo and I put a black label OD in it, I need a 1280 speedo right?
I did a search and saw a 72 that has a blue label, and he needs a 1000, so I'm just making sure. I'm assuming the blue label is the late model, so needs a 1000.
Just to be clear, I need a 1280 TPM speedo?

If you have a black label OD you need a 1280 just to keep it simple.

When I did mine I found that the other difficulty is that the correct speedo is also the larger diameter unit and my '76 had the smaller speedo & tacho.
Luckily, the internals are interchangable.
