All,
Well, after fitting my new fangled rims that I found, I needed to move them out about 1/4 inch to keep them from hitting the inside of the wheel well with the new tires.
So, after adding a spacer, where can I find some longer wheel studs?
and two...
I'm thinking of doing the GM SI alternator conversion for two reasons. 1. It's cheap, and 2. It's available without too much pain and searching.
What's the groups mounting thoughts on that?

I am a fan of the fiesta Bosch conversion. Autozone had one for in two days. I used a slightly larger belt from NAPA and ground asmall bit from the adjustment bracket but it was easier than the steps for the Saturn and it cost me $68 with a lifetime warranty.
Help me Tony, I have slow scanned the whole section three times and I still have not found where you fixed the stud issue. I have the same problem and am interested.
The Autozone by me want's $106 plus a $15 core charge for a rebuilt without the pulley, where as the GM SI 63Amp is $39. Thus my interest as people have done that one before.
There used to be a guy on E-Bay who sold CS-130 (Saturn Alt) conversions, but he stopped about two months ago.
As for the studs, I as well checked out Tony's page (with ENVY), and didn't see the studs either. I saw in Classic Motorsports where they got some I think from the Winner's Circle for a Midget, but I don't know if that will work.

Sorry 'bout that, guys....ARP part #100-7708..12mmx1.50"....they're studs for late model GM...they come 5 to pack.
....just press the old studs out & press these back in same hole (actually, I put one of my lug nuts on the original stud & hit it with a hammer to knock them free - then hit the backside of the new studs with hammer to set in hub)...you might have to get new lug nuts to fit the wheels (&, based on the width of your spacer, you might have to use a long closed nut or an open nut)

GM SI alts are not a favorite of mine as some folks here can tell you of their own good AND bad fortune with them. The SI alt is fine, it is the mounting of it which can pose a problems, sometimes serious. FWIW
Whoa, you are right about the price change! I got mine this Spring. Hey, good thing I got the lifetime warranty :-)
Does make the Saturn one sound much better even with the extra work.
Tony, thanks for the clarification on the studs.
Don't do the SI alternator conversion. I'm not sure exactly what it is, but it will break the ear off of your waterpump. It did it to mine and many others.
The Saturn conversion sounds tough, but it is really not at all that bad.
I have an air compressor to change the pulley, and a soldering iron to change the wiring, other than that it took me about 15min to rotate the front housing and install it; and I'm no mechanic!
