Looking for an MGB I used to own...Minnesota members?

First, sorry if this is considered off topic.

I'm looking for my first MG. It was a red chrome bumper with a pillow dash but no glove box. I have in my head that it was a 73 but am probably wrong about that. For some reason I have no records about this car. No pictures either (what was I thinking). I live in Apple Valley, MN as I did then and sold the car in the summer of 1990 to a doctor who lived in St. Louis Park, MN. He was a pediatrician who worked for a local HMO but I don't remember his name. My father purchased it in Naperville ILL from a lady and drove it back to minnesota. I only had 2 or 3 years.

I've talked to my insurance guy, the local club, and the local shop. No ones records go back that far. I have no #'s from the car so I don't believe the state DMV is an option.

I know this is dumb and definately the longest of long shots but a recent thread here has given me hope so I'm throwing it out there. Anybody know this car or find the story familiar?

Do you know Brian Michaud that posts here as bpmichaud, he's from St. Louis Park. Maybe he has seen it around. Too bad you don't have the vin to go on.
