Sorry for the "sales pitch" but since folks here were looking for this part, here it is!
Ok, I finally got the parts in stock! I have 55 of the handbrake pawls here and they're priceed at $10 each with free shipping. I made the pivot and linkage holes a hair small, knowing there will be some wear on your original parts. If you need to run a drill bit through them to open the hole a few thousandths of an inch you can do that, otherwise install it as-is with a little bit of lube for good measure. The fit is great and they work as expected.

Sorry for the confusion!
How 'bout we mail ya a check so Paypal doesn't get a cut of your meager profit margin?
...you fixin' to take off three or four seconds on the auto-x course, Earl of WTO?
:)
That works too! I think they already own part of my wife, my house, and even my dog. I give 'em at least a few hundred every month. Seriously!
Carl, what do you need one for - you never touch the brakes!!! :D

It's wFo, Rick. Earl of WFO, as in Wide (well, you know) Open.

Actually, they enable you to go faster :)
Great. Now I'm an enabler for Carl. Another black mark on my resume'.

Oh? You're bringing your race car down for me to drive? :D
At this point its more of a trailer pig than that big block oldsmobuick contraption that Jim's constructing!!! :D
Trust me, when the day comes, you can show me how to make it go fast!
Jeff,
Got the part in yesterday. Relatively benign install with a great fit. Looks too pretty to cover up.
Thanks
Larry
I got mine also Jeff, beautiful work. I haven't tried it on the Midget yet, but one of them is going into the Project Roadmaster! Going to send it over to Jim with the brake lines.
Well done Jeff. Now you can move the MGB in another small way, toward the ideal of the MGA!
I'd love to buy one, but your check out does not have Canada as an option. Too bad I don't live in the Bahamas or the Czech Republic, or I'd be able to order one!
Is this retribution because we burned Washington in 1814? Some guys can sure hold a grudge! ;-)
Sorry about the Canada thing. I have NO idea why it isn't functional, but if you put in a fake US address (your street info but Texas as the state for example), the sale will go through. Then put the real address in the notes section.
Ppostage to England runs about $2 additional.

That's OK, we're sorry about that White House burning thing too......well most of us, anyway.
(Hopefully the order went through this time!)
All you folks over this side of the pond. I will have 4 spare pawls available at cost + local postage if needed.
Dave.
Is this a direct swap, identical to the original part? I'm confuzzled.
Drop it in and bend the linkage rod to the other side of the brake handle centerline. You may need to buy new cotter pins if yours don't survive extraction, but otherwise its a drop-in. It changes the rotational direction of the brake pawl when you push the button at the end of the brake lever.
Scotty, here's the link to the original site where we got our inspiration, shows the conversion very well. http://asciimation.co.nz/pics/flyaway/

Bill,
I thought we got our inspiration from the MG T-Series & the MGA. ;)
Got the pawl Saturday and got it installed - works great after a little tweaking of the rod. Thank you for the prompt service.
You bet! Brian McCullough also has these onhis site, so if you're looking to buy some other parts, its one-stop shopping.
I just got a new order in last week, and had the new ones made from Stainless. It cost a little more, but its a harder material and won't ever rust. I also had the holes enlarged .005" for a quicker, smoother fit.
