02/03/09 -- RELEASE DATES ANNOUNCED!
SHERMAN'S WAY will be released in theaters on March 6, 2006 in NYC at the Village East Cinemas (http://www.villageeastcinema.com/angelika_film.asp?hID=166&ID=13753a1.1847982m5168m482u.33) and in LA on March 13 at the Leammle MOnica in Santa Monica (http://www.laemmle.com/viewmovie.php?mid=3402).
This is the movie that was screened at MG2008. Very enjoyable and a great guide on how to completely restore your MGB in one week while hardly ever working on it.;)
I hope it's received well enough to go to wide release in the near future.

Anyone know if it will be released on a disk? It is not very likely that it will get shown here in Nanaimo.
It wont make it north of Boston I figure so I'll have to wait for the DVD.

great, we can drive our MG`s to the movie house,
This was a good movie with a good story. I am glad it finally made distribution.
Both Connie and I enjoyed the movie while attending MG 2008.
If it plays in the area, we will go see it again...if not, we will get the DVD

Thanks for the photos, Scotty, but - for the nitpicky amongst us - the camera car is clearly a RB, while the movie poster shows a Mk II - is this gonna be one of those movies with technical inconsistencies that most people won't notice, but that will drive all of us here nuts?
Todd
That is one of the 'issues' the director had to deal with when he showed it at MG2008. But the biggest laugh was the ease in which they did a windshield replacement. None the less it was a thoroughly enjoyable movie centered around a MGB not a technical restoration movie.
Todd, there were tons of mistakes and a great deal of fiction regarding the car restoration part of the film but that was one of the most enjoyable parts of watching it. Especially with the audience at MG2008. The director did take a great deal of good natured ribbing about it. As Robert said the windshield replacement was particularly funny. When they pulled the windshield from the car someone in the audience shouted, "Don't do it!!" :D
