This crappy weather is screwing up my plans. I wanted to take the trailer to the tonneau cover manufacturer do get his ideas and have him order the materials but there is too much slop coming down from the sky, so I decided to go get a piece of 3/16 aluminum checker plate and weld up the supports for it. The metal guys will cut the final piece on their shear because for $260 bucks I don't want to screw it up by using a hand cutting tool to make the triangle piece.
Started to mask off the already painted sections in readiness for final shoot and clear. Needed to get that tongue ready for colour though.

Looks great Pete! If you don't mind my asking, what are you going to use it for?
Great project! I've been following your posts and I'm very impressed with all of the work you've been able to accomplish in such a short time.
One question, what will you be doing with the reverse lights? Will they be connected to the reverse lights on the car?
Looking Great Pete!
Guess your going to use the later tail light lenses to match your car?
Can't help but to wonder what a set of early ones would look like...just a thought.
Cheers
Paul
Thanks for the questions. I will answer in order:
Dave: To take stuff to shows and when I get there have a place to sit without schlepping chairs and umbrellas and coolers. To be able to take our club's valve cover racing track to a show so that some guy doesn't have to take his truck. To pack all the stuff that we need on road convoys so I can help fix the broken down cars!
Randall: I ran two 4 conductor trailer harnesses through the right side of the frame and terminated them on plugs so that the hitch/frame assembly can be removed to facilitate storage. I need six of the eight [Left, Right, Brake, Park, Ground, Back-up] and yes, the backup lights will be functional. One of the spares will feed power to the trunk light from the spare circuit on ITCH's auxiliary Power Block [Advance Auto Wire] and the 8th will feed power to a backup beeper which will be in series with the one in the trunk of Itch.
Paul: The Rubber bumper and tail lights will match the tow car as will the wheels and the interior panels and carpets. I am going to try to match the Sunfast Canvas Top on the car with a Vinyl since I think the canvas will take too much pounding back there.
Landon: You PM'd me about the lift. Without doubt this has been the BEST investment I made for the garage. Here are some links to previous discussions for those who are interested.

Here is a look at it [and some early shots of where we came from on this project].
