Are their parts reliable, in particular, radiator, and Downton manifold/exhaust? I know Downton is just a name now, but are their 'Downton' parts made to original Downton specs?

I bought my triple SU intake manifolds and "Downton" style headers and exhaust from Doug Smith at MGMotorsports about 7 years ago. All the parts were made by Maniflow which I think made the Downton parts for University motors. I was not really impressed with the fit and finish of the headers and intakes ,as they both require truing up on the surfaces that mated with the head. Once done, though I am happy with the result.

My experience with MG Motorsports has always been of exceptional value. I'm sure the Downton spec is exactly that. Doug Smith is a very reliable resource and I'm going to visit them this Summer and pick up some "bits" for race prepping my other CGT, cam, rods, rockers and steering rack.... JB
