Hi All,
Just a quick update on my trip over next year with the TF, I've put a new custom made SS exhaust on and cold air induction air filter kit and hade a full service with cam belt, tension bearing, water pump, oil, coolant, coolant low level alarm, SS coolant pipes and all the filters, plugs, etc, and all greased and ajusted for trouble free motoring (i hope)
I have also fitted roll over hoops with windstop and a pair of spot lights in the front bumper.
So apart from a set of tyres its ready for the trip to go up and down the east coast of the US and up into Canada for MG2010, only 5 months before I and the car arrive your side of the pond can't come soon enough,
Roger.

Let us know when you will be in the Baltimore, Maryland area and we'll plan a get together with some USA MG'ers.
Roger....you know you'll have to give everybody a ride in your TF at MG2010. It's just what a proper MG TF owner would do.:)
Hope to be landing on the 12th May in Baltimore and collecting the car from the docks on the 12th or 13th, and will be in the area for a couple of days Jack.
First draft route with dates here,

Bruno, Hmmm, I have just put $50 to one side to pay for the fuel to do just that.
Hopefully you'll like the USA better than Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May. Great Top Gear episode.
Paul, this will be my 12th trip over to the states and my 9th visit to Canada but the first with my car, so I know what to expect and I have always had fun while over in the US.
Yes, let us know when the time is closer,..I'd be willing to come over to Baltimore to meet you and some other forum members and check out your car.
I'm curious,.....what's it cost to ship the car back and forth accross the pond?.......I've dreamt / thought about shipping my modified B over and touring the UK,......dream vacation kind of thing.........probably need to hit the lottery first.
I've been thinking of bring my car to MG2010 so it'd be great opportunity to hang out with some Eastern members and from across the pond.
Speaking of dream vacations; as soon as I win the next lottery after Darrell, I'll ship my car to the UK and get a photo of it on the "Members' Banking" on the old Brooklands race track. Was there in '99 and spent most of two days just taking it all in.
For now, I'll have to photoshop it. :)
Roger, look forward to seeing you in Belleville. Simon, by all means, come east!
Steve
I think you're right, Steve. Seeing as how I was born in Belleville, I really have no good reason not to attend. Besides, the car needs some miles on it.
Cheers
Simon
Russ, that will be great, I will be posting a more detailed route around march,
Darell, I have a quoit for shipping the car on a roll on / roll off car transport ship from Southampton to Baltimore return of around £1600 ($2550) plus port charges and insurance.
Simon, as you say you have no good reason not to attend, so I look forward to meeting you in June.
Hi Roger,
Put me on the list for a ride.
I expect a good turn out when you are in the Greensboro, Winston-Salem, NC area.
Maybe you'd like a Photo of your car with the staff from Hooters??
PJ
Hello Roger -
Looking forward to meeting you in Hershey. I understand that I just need to look for another rather tall chap, speaking the Queen's English. ;)

2003, MG TF 135, 1800cc, plate # TF03MGO. owner Roger Pratten, Northampton, England.
ps/ James, I Just got a PM with the registion form for the Hershey event, so no need to do the above. Thanks.

Re-post of site mentioned earlier:

Roger: You will be driving right by my place as you go from Sarnia to Niagara Falls. London is a little bump in the road about 1 hour from Sarnia.
Darrell: The dream is not as expensive as you think. A mere mortal friend of mine just did that last year with his Healey. Six if then shipped the cars to England and spend 4 weeks touring the place. The consensus is that it was well worth the effort and $$$. about $2500 for the shipping if I recall.
Pete
If you get to Tennessee let me know. Chattanooga is historic town to visit with great MG roads all around.
Chris, see you at the Hershey event.
Peter, may well pop in for a cuppa.
Gil, Chattanooga is about 370 mile from the nearest point of my trip so maybe next time.
