Wee AH Beng - I am not sure that you have the correct numbers to determine the year of the car. Based on the round tail lights, the car is a 1953 MG TD or possibly a 1954 TF, but that is about all I can tell you. E-mail me at SUfuelpumps@donobi.net and I can send you information on where to find the number that you need to correctly identify the car.
Cheers,
Based upon car no. 24922 it's a 1953. Where did the /2315 come from?
If the car number 24922 is correct then engine no. 14550 would not be the original engine from the car, it is an earlier engine.

Wee - I tried to send you some information on where to look for the correct car number, but your e-mail system has blocked my e-mail. I tried jumping through the hoops to get the mail delivered, but am not sure I was successful. If it has not been delivered by the time you read this, I need for you to do whatever is necessary to allow my e-mail messages to get through to you.
Cheers,
Hi: You should check the number stamped in the side of the front drivers side bumper support bracket. This is the chassis number. If you forward the numbers you have to the New England MG-T Registry the should be able to help.
Open this link and type in the chassis number, which is found on the left front frame horn. Sometimes difficult to see due to being covered with paint. It will give you the matching engine number which came with the car when new and the date it was built. PJ
