I was able to contact a fellow MGB-E member via E-Mail.
The guy lives five minutes from my house. He was gracious enough
to say, “come on by anytime”.
So I jumped in my B and headed over to his house today. Fred. Great guy
with a wonderful family.
Super road rally car. 75 B body and a MGB GT. Parts everywhere, of coarse.
Said he was headed to Greensboro NC tomorrow for a rally run.
Thanks to this forum I’ve met a MGB enthusiast literally next door.
Looking forward to busting some knuckles with him.
Kevin in NC.

Kevin,
Where in NC are you located? I live in Stallings, just east of Charlotte. There are a number of site members in this area with many in the local Metrolina MG Car Club. Look us up if close and we will see about getting you involved in local events. Great group to hang out with.

Scott,

I'm in Advance, NC. By the Yadkin river near Clemmons NC.
20 minutes from Winston Salem. 30 minutes from Statesville.
Anything going on around here, I would love to be part of it.
I think the British Car show at Tanglewood park is coming up soon.

Check out our club website calendar for local events. We have our annual local club event coming up in September that is a lot of fun. I happen to be the registrar for this event. See website for registration form. www.metrolinamgcarclub.com. Also, look for the upcoming fall event at Lowes Speedway. Small contingent of british cars...but if you enjoy any type car, there is always a lot to see and enjoy.

Yes Jack, I'll bust a knuckle, or ten, to help any LBC owner.
Kids are off to college. Just me and the dog.
Finally have ME time for a change.

Kevin. The last British car show in Tanglewood was in 2003, the show was at Dan Nicholas Park in Salisbury in 04 and 05. This year it was at the Catawba College in Salisbury. Here are photos from this years show.

I belong the the Piedmont British Motor Club in Statesville. The next meeting is on August 29th at Wise Guys Pizza on Highway 64 east of Statesville. Eat at 6:00, meeting at 7:00. From I-40 take exit 162, turn left and go around 7-8 miles, go through 3 signal lights and look for Wise Guys on the left.

Hey, NC, SC, VA, (and maybe GA?)

Don't forget the "Brits and Battleship" show in November. At our monthly meeting this past week our club VP said we're expecting 200 cars this year. Go here:

http://www.bmccf.org/

What a great ride for some of you guys in the Western part of the state to come out to the beach. . . well, maybe not the "beach", in November, would you believe the battleship??

Anyway, we would love to meet some of youse forum guys and girls there. If we can help with anything, rooms, gas, cash, etc, let me know.

Gillette, did we meet at the Royal Oak Pub run when the Cape Fear club met the Charleston Club at Murrell's Inlet?

Hey, Wray,

We weren't at Murrell's Inlet. We just got to NC in March 06, and had been fooling with Model A's and other old Fords for about 100 years. We joined the Cape Fear Club when we bought our MG in July of this year. We may try to go with the club to the upcoming Charleston, SC meet, as Dale and some of the others want that "club with the most members present" recognition, FWIW?? (Sorry to highjack this thread). . .GA

And I just got a note from my Columbia club that there is a show coming up at Chimney Rock on Oct13/14.
