Thank you Peter,
Michigan does indeed have some beautiful scenery.
Mike, I had forgotten how beautiful Michigan is. It's easy to forget when your daily life is spent driving a two mile stretch of Waverly road dodging potholes and seeing going out of business signs and half empty strip malls. First "Value City" and now "Peerless Furniture". It would be a disaster if "Quality Dairy" were to leave us. What would we use for directional landmarks?
Incredibly beautiful! Only problem with Michigan is it's too far north!
Great photos!
I would be concerned about getting impaled in that ice cave! lol
Living in Michigan was great! There where parks like Pictured Rocks up in the UP to visit, as well as other parks with lakes. I lived in Lake Orion in Oakland county and spent whole summers out on the lake sailing. Ended up becoming a professional mariner.
Even in the winter there were indoor automotive swap-meets and great automotive museums like the R.E.Olds Museum and the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village. The best time to go was in the winter. No crowds. They have a Ford Model-A bus that goes around to all of the different exibits in Greenfield Village in winter. Glass blowing is a lot of fun on a saturday in February.
Lotsa folks are down on Michigan, but it was a great place to live. It has the potential to be even better.
GORGEOUS country, and beautiful photography. Thank you for posting the link Peter!
I have one of the photos as my new windows wallpaper...and sent the link to several people. I REALLY want to visit your beautiful state now. Stunning, in any season!

I love the shots of Sleeping Bear Dunes and the west coast, having grown up in the area.
We have a number of cars shows during the summer in towns like Grand Haven and South Haven. Great places to park your car and explore the town.
