Why..? The only real thing you know about a person on the net is their avatar and maybe some info in their signature. I know words can hurt more than a busted knuckle, but really. I really don't care if people try to down me on the net as many people can lie and say anything behind a computer screen. John you registered five years ago and only have 360 post. It seems your are only on the MGE we you need help much like myself. Some members here live breathe the MGE,the net and have no life. I know this is cold but its the harsh truth.
Personally, I am sorry your leaving the MGE but this should not be my concern. I am just angry some piece of sh#t on here hurt you. Good luck to you.

James,
We get two or three of these members each year who post basically the same "I've had it".. "I'm leaving for good" thread hoping the masses jump up and down and kiss their ass hoping they will reconsider their position and return to full fan fare. Several times this has happened with members who really do add to the style and atmosphere the MGE is. Others just keep checking their thread and sulk because no one really knows who they were and couldn't give a rats ass if they come back or not.
This is a great Forum, not a bunch of Zombies who don't like to liven things up. There are other British Car Forums out there.. I think..

It's the Internet..... Grow some balls and don't be such a little girl. To whomever this refers to.
I haven't been keeping up with this thread, but "only" 360 posts...
Doesn't exactly sound like a slacker to me... sounds more like a typical MGE member that gets more out of what they read, than what they say.

As a newbie owner with minimal experience, I'm quite happy with the advice I have been so generously given by those with more knowledge than I have. It is quite likely that I will ask a seemingly dumb question once in a while ... but gee ... you will never know the answer unless you ask the question!
Cheers to all,
Andy
Peter...if you do leave, you have to leave that avatar behind for sure!
If Peter leaves.....the bottom will drop out of the rusty car market.....
He hasn't posted much lately...figured he was overcome with excitement about the E-type.
I've asked the most basic questions and questions I'm sure have been asked and answered previously. In return there are always a few wise cracks that I laugh right along with because, frankly, they're deserved. But when the info comes it comes in droves and it is greatly appreciated. Hell, no one is required to answer my stupid questions. Yet, very knowledgeable people step up and provide me advise. I am grateful for every single comment, good and bad.
