I was just thinking about some of the recent threads on BHO's "stimulus" package (aka, massive government special interest spending bill, that won't do SQUAT for any of us peons)...and I thought about my poor father.

You see...the man is quite conservative in his political leanings. He spends a good bit of time educating himself (and not just from his own perspective)...all this "spending" bill crap will put his blood pressure through the roof.

Especially when he thinks about the fact that his wife of almost 50 years voted for BHO!!!!

Hilarious stuff...the poor guy KNOWS that his vote was essentially canceled out by his lovely wife (and my own mother). Bless her heart...she could not stand McCain, and helped to negate my dad's efforts to keep BHO from office.

I was teasing him about this mercilessly when we were visiting him in California (yes...THAT California...the one with Moransy Pusilanimosy (aka, nancy pelosi).

Just thought it was kind of funny...I would regularly have to give my dad a big hug and kiss, and talk him down from the hypertension ledge after teasing him.

Tony, it would be funny, and I am not calling you out on your post, except for the fact that we may be only hours away from the most drastic upheaval in socio/political history this side of the War Between The States, and except for the blood letting this thing might prove to be even worse.

It will absolutely and positively SPLIT the country along productive and non-productive lines and just might rip the underpinning out from the industrial/banking/credit economies.

Your father may not live to see the carnage, as my mother won't, but they will take to their graves the knowledge what IS going to happen if these creatures have their way.

I just called the offices of Collins/Spector/Snowe and told them all that their respective bosses were making GRAVE mistakes, both for the country and for themselves politically.

It is, as they say, "In the hands of God" now.

Don't worry Twig...both my dad and I do take this seriously. We just like to kid each other, and this was one of those "roll your eyes" kind of topic we went back and forth about. And also...don't worry...I actually used some of the teasing and humor to dissipate some of the frustration. We would be laughing together instead of getting too worked up.

Mike prices will go back to the $3.50 area in the year 2009. That is the range where the Administration and Congress want them. They are afraid we will go back to buying SUV's and know that the tipping point is in that range. As soon as they get through this stimulus deal they will get back to working on how they can reverse the off shore drilling agreeemts.

Saw that late last year.

He is on the money.

Buy food and keep it safe.

Prepare by arranging your life to work well enough without lots of things that you now take for granted.

As of this moment, Tuesday 9-10-09 AM, the super-majority thing in the Senate has been laid to rest and the loony tunes have complete control over the asylum.

the future - could be hyper inflation,. in fact there is no way other than hyper inflation,.dollar devaluation,. paper paper paper dollars,.at the mercy of the federal reserve,.
of course the stock market purveyors want us to think otherwise,.by now, we have lost to the stock market ,.

What is preventing future legislation from reversing a lot of this package in say 2 years? Do you really think we are going to spend close to a trillion dollars that quickly? I suspect that if we see a lot of waste and we do not see the legislation having an impact, that the American people will finally wake up and demand change.

All I am saying is that if we take the absolute wrong course, we can rectify it before it is too late.....Just takes the will of the people.

OK Jack...Slap me now.......
