I am new to the MG market. Considering a purchase to do a restoration. Can anyone advise a good source for parts.

Welcome aboard, Randy. Considering your location, Tony Barnhill up in Gurley, AL should be an excellent choice. But, Chris (in Oregon), and a couple of others are distributors for Moss Motors (probably biggest source of LBC parts in U.S.).

There are several other excellent sources - The B-Hive (in Clemson, SC), Northwest Imports, The Roadster Factory (Pennslyvania - but mostly Triumph stuff), and Victoria British out in Lenexa, KS (Kansas City).

Again, welcome aboard.

Welcome aboard! Take your time buying a car. There are plenty of MGs out there and too many people get emotional over it and buy the wrong one too fast. Take a camera and post pics for us to tear apart. Like was said, Tony Barnhill (if you can catch him in country) is a great source of parts and ideas. He also has some very good restoration candidates for sale from time to time.

Welcome Randy. As mentioned above you won't have any problem getting parts for your project :)

Tony Barnhill (the autoist ) for parts, without a doubt. Be sure you sign up online for free catalogs from Victoria British and Moss Motors. I also like to browse britishcarlinks.com. Good luck, hope you find the car you are looking for.

Welcome Randy.
I just completed a complete body off restoration of my 1980 MGB. My journal
http://www.mgexperience.net/journal/pmittler

and John Moore's journal would be a good place to start reading.

EVERY conceivable topic on MGB's has been covered on this board, in the Library or in the Journals.

Spend a month reading everything before you start work and you will save a ton of money and time.

Welcome to the madness.
