Maybe plan a group ride down Highway 1 from Monterey to Pismo Beach the day before, any interest????
Keep us posted Swamper. Too early to commit. Definitely interested.
Swamper,
The info I got is that its the weekend of April16-18,the host hotel is the Sea Crest with rates as follows $87 non ocean view,$95 ocean view,$115 deluxe ocean view. We've got a group coming up from the Southern Calif MG Club. The Paradise British Car Club is putting it on.Don't know if they have a web site.See ya there.

Thanx Steve, I'm going to see if I can't organize a group from Nor-Cal and make a drive down Highway 1. I'm going to check out hotels for the Monterey area where we could all get together the night before have dinner on the wharf, then drive down the coast altogether.
Swamper. Paradise does have a web site, but it is not updated.
There is a form for the 2007 North meets South event, but chances are the rates have changed. (in best Abby Hoffman accent).
I'll put it on my calendar, as this is usually a nice laid back event.

I am working on a group from our club, Valley British Auto Club.....never been to this show, wife loves the coast...
Our club, Savramento Valley MG Car Club, is assembling a group of cars and drivers to attend. As for the hotel, they are currently taking reservations; rooms are going fast. When I booked mine today, I was sure to tell them that I was part of the North-South meet.
Our group will be driving up on that Friday morning and returning Sunday and Monday (some will make a side trip to Carmel/Monterey on the return trip.
You can get info for the event from our club website, click on Future Events link:

My reservations are made. No idea what I'll be driving. Probably the B, but it could be the Rover SD1.

This is usually a pretty good event If memory serves me
correctly, they have a leisurely drive all around the wine country as well as the coast and then there's a car show and get together on Sunday
Obviously, this could change, but that's been the successful equation in the years past. I've gone to this event at least 5 or 6 times dating back to the early-mid 90's. I think it's been happening much longer than that though.
It's a whole lot of fun, and this is absolutely beautiful country up there!
Anybody from Paradise MGs on here?
Brian
Here's some info I was sent from one of the event organizers:
"I just thought that you might be interested in our Bi-annual "North Meets South" British car event coming up in April. This event started out as an MGA event, but has evolved to all British cars. Our little club has been doing this almost every other year since 1978, missing a few years here and there. But we are back at it this year. We have had as many as 150 British cars of all types, and have a really good time. This year we are going to have the car display at a private ranch on real grass!!, along with a Santa Maria Bar-B-Que. And the hotel is really nice--right on a bluff overlooking the ocean."
I was also attached a flyer for the event. I hope to attend, would love to be driving or B, but it probably will not be ready that soon.
