They're allright, but you would be better off getting one from Advanced Distributers.
Jeff optimizes the dist for your application.

I've dealt with them. no problem

I second the suggestion. send jeff your old distributor and it'll come back rebuilt with pertronix for less than that.

Jeff has distributors in stock. So I think you will find that he can send one out, and then you can return yours as a core. From what I have seen, he can turn a rebuild around in a day or 2.

I dealt with Jeff to order a distributor for delivery in Canada. The arrival was _very_ quick. And the performance of the distributor and follow-through by Jeff was outstanding.

Jeff does a great job and the turn around is very quick.

British Parts Northwest (different company than Northwest Import Parts) is about 10 miles form me. The shop I worked at used to buy from him way back in the early 80s.

My only beef is that they wouldn't let me pick up parts from them even though my wife used to drive almost right by the place coming home from work. Zoning problems. They once shorted me a valve cover gasket, and I offered to have my wife stop there and pick it up to save them shipping. They said absolutely not and then spent $7 to send it UPS!

I had a similar experience last month. I was doing some work in Salem OR and asked my wife to drive out to the location on the website to pick up a head gasket. As she approached the buildings she hesitated - the place didn't look like a business - she was alone - but she ventured in.

She said the people were very friendly and easy to get along with. The facility inside seemed well appointed. But they couldn't sell her the gasket. Too bad, because now I have to order it cross border.

But I guess they have their zoning issues, and have taken (and held to) a business decision. Can't fault them for that!

Holy cow! You'd think I was selling gold for the price of aluminum! Nick, I can ship you a distributor outright, but it will cost a little more than the new Pertronix unit. Of course it will probably last longer and run better too! Maybe you just want to wait until you park the car for the winter and send it to me for a rebuild? That's hands down the cheapest and best way to go!

The time taken by Jeff is probably inconsequential compared to the black hole it falls into at the border. You'll have that to deal with no matter which U.S. source you select.
Go with Jeff. Great support and service.

Here are a couple of photos of what Jeff's rebuilt dizzys look like. This is first rate work.

To quote my recent email to him after getting mine back from him:

"the dizzy arrived this afternoon and it is superb! I haven't yet had a chance to try it out, but it is better than a new one! Not only is it clean, but looks as though you blasted it (looks sharp) and you used a much heavier duty breaker plate than the one I sent you, or I have ever seen. Also, I noted that the shaft has absolutely NO slop. Beautiful! And on top of it all, the points are far and away the very best I have ever seen. I am very much in your debt, and when I get settled, I will make it a point to post some photos, some comments (like those above), and an evaluation on my site, along with info on contacting you for your services. This is truly a fine instrument now, and makes even the brand new Eurospec dizzy I bought some years ago pale in comparison. Nice work, Jeff, you deserve all the accolades you have gotten!!!!

Now, is it UPS that screws you with a ridiculous Brokerage fee? Of course, sometimes it's worth it!

Wow! How do I get THAT delivery driver? Nice package!!!

That must have been frustrating Ron. When I've driven by there the only clue that there's anything LBC going on is a Spitfire overgrown with blackberries by the building.

My wife called it an adventure. She was on her way to the outlet stores in Woodburn anyway, got to take a ferry without a delay, and saw gorgeous countryside. We're from the prairies in Canada.

That would be the Wheatland ferry, about 8 miles fom me. We take it to visit my mother-in-law in Woodburn.

I'm glad your wife enjoyed the drive, and it wasn't totally a wasted trip...otherwise is would have been a 50+ mile drive for no purpose!

Speaking of Canadian prairies, my son-in-law grew up in Grand Prairie.
