My car is wintering in Jack's (Twigs; see www.jackscars.net) garage while I'm working in Charlotte. When the upcoming weather looks decent I like to get it out on the Blue Ridge Parkway (which is only a few miles from his house), so I email him a few days ahead to make sure he'll be around to open the shop. Recent email exchange:
Dennis to Jack: Weather looks to be high 40s and generally sunny on Saturday. Will you be around? I'm planning to arrive around 9;00.
Jack to Dennis: Sure that's fine. Took the car into town for a short run yesterday and it ran fine. It's washed, wiped down, cover is off, and it's ready to go.
