OK..just got my trailer home, with the two engines that I bought. One torn down, and blasted, painted, etc.

My uncle had to move the trailer outside and did not let me know. So, all of the stuff that I wrapped in plastic, I thought would be okay....NOPE. It all leaked. The oil pan has bubbles all over it, needs to be stripped and repainted. The head made it, one block is a little rusty. The engine hoist has a bit of rust. The valve covers came out okay.

THe worst part: The box that I had all of the internal parts in was wet as could be, and all the parts that were not bagged are rusty as can be, including the piston rods...UGH!

Guess I better find another bead blaster.

But the good news is that the SC arrives tomorrow...I can build the perfect SC engine later, once everything is cleaned up and shiny. :)

I've been meaning to ask a favor of you Ed.

Could you get one of those big twirly things that fit on the back of that boat you drive for me. As you might have noticed in earlier threads I am looking for a good replacement fan for my B.

Now, how big is that thing anyway? LOL

DOH! That sucks . . . I did something not even remotely close, but similar with my cordless phone left outside for a morning rainstorm . . . . still works though. :)

Skip the bead blaster. Get some Griot's Garage Rust Remover. it's incredible. and much easier.

" How big are those things? I would guess 20-30ft............." Your guess would be off by about half. Jack, do you have a LARGE crane to install it with?
Cheers,
