Or once in a while at the Historics at Laguna Seca. One like this came up the hill of the old Laguna Seca track at the 1985 event, heading into the corkscrew when it lost its driveshaft. The car roared past the corkscrew entry into the escape run, while the driveshaft, clanging away, hurtled up to the corkscrew and then proceeded to roll down it, causing a lot of sudden braking from the trailing traffic.
