Just back from six days in Vegas........90% work at the Safari Club International Convention. Vegas is heavily advertising shooting ranges with full auto weapons, AK47, sniper rifles, etc for fun and entertainment.
Flew out on the red-eye Sunday night. I opted not to have the full body scan at the airport and went with the intrusive pat-down instead. It included an explosive swab test of his gloves when he was done. After the officer finished I asked him if the swab would test positive if I had gone to a gun range a day or two before.
He said that I would definitely test positive and would be taken into a room along with my luggage and given the full treatment including the complete and thorough examination of both myself and my luggage. Colostomy optional!
Glad I didn't go to a range. Toyed with the idea but didn't have a lot of spare time and I've shot a few full auto weapons and lots of rifles, revolvers and pistols

One of the suppliers at the show was selling ladies purses at the show with a concealed compartment for a handgun.
