The 1980 Spit that had the bad hole; someone installed new guides and valves, but didn't cut in new valve seats. This is an earlier head on a later engine as there are no air ports for smog rails.
The valve was recessing into the seat and that caused it to stay open.
All that money spent, only to have something simple make it all pointless.
Oh, the B is STILL in the paint shop.

Larry called up to say his painter wanted to know "Were we supposed to delete the marker holes in the left fender to match the right fender, or were we supposed to drill holes in the right?"
This after I had instructed them on deleting the rear marker light holes on both sides. With that and the no holes fender on the front right, I would have thought it a no brainer.
Things have been different since Bob got shot. I truely miss my body guy of 8 years.
