I have poured over the schematics and cannot figure out what gasket (if any) I need to fix this leak.

Jeremy, it might just be a small leak for the oil pan gasket..? how does your garage floor look? Once you get your B on the road keep a close eye on the oil level a major leak is easy to notice. Other than that I would not worry to much....

It is a very slow drip.

Unless you are a glutton for punishment and the drip isn't very much, forget about it. You're just leaving your carbon footprint!

Very possibly a rear main seal. However, if it is that minor I wouldn't worry about it at this point. RAY

You can get engine oil and transmission oil out of that same spot. What's the color? If it looks like used engine oil it's from the back of the engine and I would guess the rear main seal. If it is clean oil I would guess from the transmission and probably the front seal on the transmission. Either way, keep this old saying in mind, "British cars are like puppys, they're cute and leave little puddles."

50/50 chance it is the rear main seal or front seal in the transmission. Rear main seals on these cars often seep a bit - especially the factory type. You have to pull the engine to replace it - if you do go through the bother, definitely get the Payen seal (instead of the factory seal). You may need a speedisleeve if your crank is scored.

But - if it is a minor leak, live with it. :)

Verdicts in. Will let her shed a few tears of joy. :P

For now.

Thanks all.

Since gravity cannot be denied, oil always drips from the lowest point. You might check side cover gaskets for a small leak since they are probably the most common source. Otherwise, the others above are likely the most correct.
