Hi All I am 1977 Midget owner now for about 17 yrs. She has been sitting in driveway for almost 5 yrs. looking sadder each year. I almost sold it last week on craig's list for a grand. I charged the battery it held a charge suprisingly. I put air in the tires it started right up and I took it for a ride. (I had been starting it and had done a little work on it over past couple of years.) I did this so when the buyer came it would sell quickly. Well I enjoyed the ride down to the water and the work I did made the ride lovely. I came back and had to call the buyer that I could not sell her. So now she sits in the garage ( I cleaned it out to make room) and she's getting the attention she deserves! The memories and the places I went in it are great and after she 's done up we will do more. Just couldn't part with the car.

I had last registered my '61 in 1982. Dug it out of the shed last year. Spent the Winter in my shop, My work and parts from Moss & ebay and we back on the road last summer. Lots of memories and some new fun. Glad I kept it. Midget owner since 1965.

Thanks for the encouraging words. Sometimes in the moment of frustration and despair, "evil thoughts" distort our sound judgment and it's these kind of testimonials that help renew our sense of purpose.

Looking forward to you sharing some more good stories and pics.

Thanks for the kind words. It's been a long journey going from buying my first British car my midget to having two my second my beloved 1957 Morris Minor 1000 ( sadly I did sell my Moggie about 6-7 yrs ago) , being an officer in a local club (BMCNE) and quite active in the LBC scene, to having my poor sad Midget in driveway and not a member in any club. A long Journey. Hopefully my prospects are better now. I have many pictures of personal and club events ralleyes etc. but they are not digital but I will try and scan them for posting. I believe I was at the MG Museum in Vermont the last year it was open for our Fall Fraternity tour and car show. My current better half and my chidren seem to share the excitement of the MG or as my 4 yo ( pictured on car) says "The ZOOM ZOOM car" now that she is being resurected.
Happy Fall touring!
Dwight
