It was a great day for a car show at Bonsall, California. About a 1/2 hr. north of San Diego. Over 300 British cars all makes and models. Mike had his 71 C.B MGB and it deserved to win. Mike and his wife Jan were up against some tough competition. About 30 other B's. Not only did they win, they became members of The San Diegio British Car Club. Congradulations! There's no turning back now. See you at the next meeting. Dan

Thanks so much! We had a ball and met so many nice people and saw some awesome cars. My 2nd in class made us so happy that other MG lovers appreciated our work. The wonderful comments made about the car by owners and spectators made all the hard work worth it. It was especially gratifying since the 1st place car was a beautiful '67 in red that had been professionally restored to concours condition. Thanks to all on this forum that have helped me directly or indirectly. This is a great Forum!

Dan Cramp, what can I say? Without your help this last 2 weeks, I might not have even made it to the show. Your a great friend! Yes, next meeting...

Frank Patton, what a fine gentleman, it was a pleasure to meet you. You can tell he loves his 'B'.

Robert Tyree, sorry I missed you. Jan said you came over while I was doing my judging.

Sorry I missed you Mike. Despite having the mother of all head colds, I managed to get to the show, met Dan, and hung around till noon. It was beautiful morning and the ride through the backroads to the show was almost as good as enjoyable as the show itself. Perhaps we can all meet locally sometime.

I use to own a house just up the street from there, mission road by the golf course. I plan on coming down next year, I really wanted to attend this year but you can't do every show. I'm going to the Clovis show next weekend, any of you coming up to that one???

Robert, yes, we may have to crash one of those Saturday morning hot rod cruises they have at Siggy's;-)

Swamperca, cannot make that one. I've been working on the 'B' so much that my yard and garage are a mess!

I had the privilege of a spot next to Mike and Jan. Was nice meeting them and I have to say the car sets a new standard. Perfect in all respects!

Congrats!

Frank, thanks for your very kind words. Your beautiful sapphire blue 'B' and my car side by side made for an awesome display.

I was talking to Jimmy Hilton on Saturday, he expressed an interest in seeing more pictures of my 'B'. Here are a couple.

Thanks Jimmy. The front bumper is on now and when/if I ever get the Bristleflex door seals from Moss, I can install them and the chrome end covers. Here's a picture from the show.
