Last night we watched a very funny and original movie called "Outsourced". The basic premise is that a guy in Seattle who is head of a telemarketing department is sent to India to train his replacement and the new department there.
Very good for the first film by the director. This is one that men and women should enjoy equally, which turned out to be the case for us.

Thanks - added to the rental queue!
Got The Departed last night, only to realise 2 minutes in I'd seen it before. Oh well. Stardust is on the cards for tomorrow...

One of my favorite older movies - Local Hero
Its a comedy about an oil executive sent to Scotland to buy-out an entire seaside village for a new refinery terminal.

Love it, Jay! Used to have a VHS copy of it I'd watch time to time. There are some similarities between "Local Hero" and "Outsourced", now that you mention it.
Check out Michael Powell & Emerick Pressburger's "I Know Where I'm Going".

I remember liking that one a lot, but it's been a very long time since I saw it. Nicholson directed it too, didn't he?

Sorry to hear this. The movie may make you laugh at the situations in it and feel better...or much worse.
