Well I did some research and come up with some information which I thought might be helpful for owners with the parrish or smooth line hardtops for the midgets. I wanted to post this so maybe in the future someone can search and find the information or maybe someone right now is looking for the information. I myself did not know what hardtop I had on my car and others out there might need to know which hardtop they have and if new replacement parts for it are available.
Moss Motors sells a hardtop but they do not sell the replacement parts. http://mossmotors.com/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=33459&SortOrder=1
As you can see, this is a different style then what was factory. This one is more round and only has one rear window made from plexiglass.
I found from Moss Motors that the hardtops that they sell come from Smooth Line.
smoothline.com.
I then proceeded to contact smooth line to see if they sell the rubbers separately(I myself need the seals and a rear window).
I got an e-mail back from them with the following information.

Thanks for your inquiry! We appreciate your interest in Smooth Line replacement products.

All of the parts for Smooth Line Hardtops and Parrish Hardtops are available. The Smooth Line Hardtop has no emblems and the Parrish Hardtop had a round, chrome, metal emblem with a car and the Parrish name embossed in it, mounted on each side of the Hardtop. We don't have any parts for other hardtops. All of the rubber on our Hardtops is custom manufactured to our specifications. We don't think they would interchange with other brands.

A photo of our Hardtops for different cars can be viewed on our web site. www.smoothline.com.

Rear window (clear) is $125.00.

Rear window (smoke grey tint) is $150.00
Rear window rubber is $50.00
Windshield rubber is $15.00
Side window rubber is $35.00 -$55.00 per side depending on model
Rear deck rubber kit is $65.00
Rear Hold down kit all stainless steel - $35.80 per side

Headliner Material (Charcoal – Standard) - $60.00

MINIMUM ORDER - $50.00.

We accept Mastercard and Visa credit cards. To order give us a call toll free 1-877-368-4533. or 724-274-6002 to order. 9 -5 EST.

Because these items are custom made for each order, they are non returnable.

Manufacturing and delivery time is approx. 2-3 wks. Shipping (Parcel Post) and handling are extra.

I plan to order all new seals and rear window within the next week from them. But I wanted to get this information out to the public if someone was interested. As soon as I get the replacement parts I will post about my experience.

Great site. I'm always in the market for a cool good-deal hardtop for a '73 Midget.

there is one on ebay motors in the UK. It says its for a mk1 midget though. Once I finish up the car Im going to try to see if I can make something with my hardtop that looks like the ashley. Mabye I'll try to make a mold of the hardtop first and see if I can reproduce it so that if I screw something up I still will have the original. Anybody know how to make a mold of a fiberglass piece?

If you make up some tops, consider the front end as well. Check this -

^^ Yeah I saw that yesterday. I asked the seller if he wants to ship it. Its a little out of my budget right now but I guess I'll wait and see what he says about the shipping.

BTW what modifications are nessesary to do to make this fit and functional?

I think a fair amount of modification and custom work is necessary.

So when are you building the tops?

lol, not anytime soon. I mean, I need to make a mold of mine first, then make another one and customize that one. I wonder if I can find a local company that can make a mold of it.

I'd check on the coast with a boat company that sets up fiberglass molds for boats. If they have a top to go from, they can make a mold.
