Hello All,

I am parting out a 1970 MGB GT. The body has almost no rust with the exception of the floor pans and wire wheels (really). Doors, rear hatch, fenders, roof, pillars, front fenders all great condition. I have all the glass, (2) transmissions (neither with OD), (2) engine blocks, (1) complete head, lots of engine parts already removed for sale, (2) HS4s that need rebuilding, the manifold, etc. I have the gauges which all work. The car is complete with the motor and transmission out. I have the chrome split bumpers for the rear and the chrome bumper for the front. Neither of them are bent but need polishing and possible rechroming. Let me know what you want. I will be very fair on pricing. I can send pics of parts as requested.

I have some new in the box parts as well.

These include: semi-loaded brake calipers, springs, bump stops, brake pads, suspension bushings (not poly), professionally reworked radiator, steering rack boot covers, some type of metal sleeves or bearings.

I will sell the car and the whole lot of parts for $1000 at one time if interested, or sell it piece by piece.

I am in Atlanta, GA.

Thanks,
John

Here is the picture of the "B" emblem from the rear hatch. Less than perfect condition. On a scale of 1-10 I rate it 5 out of 10.

Thanks,

Interior is not in any condition to sell. Other than the seat frames and rear seat bottom all else is either torn or cracked somewhere. The map pocket could be re carpeted and used and the instrumentation in the dash is in good shape but other than that not too much is usable. Sorry

Thanks!

The rear is folded under just the same and the turn signals/parking lights in the front are from some late 50's american car. Not sure exactly which one. The idea was to lighten it up a little bit even though I really liked the chrome bumpers.

Thanks again!

Here is a picture of the back seat hardware. Pictured is 1 of the hinges. There are 3 hinges total in the car but I only pulled one for the picture. They are all alike. There are 2 latches for holding the seat in the back position and there are 2 lock bars that hold the seat upright. The 2 latches mount to a piece that is welded on the top of wheel well. I was thinking $15 for all pieces plus shipping. They are dirty in the picture but the clean up very nicely as I spot tested one of the pieces.

Thanks
John

Does the speedo have the trip odometer reset cable? Is it intact? Mine is damaged in the "bracket" or end where it plugs into the speedo. It should "snap" in, but one of the plastic prongs is broke so it just falls out.

Thanks

Hello all

Thank you to all of you who have purchased parts from the mgb gt. I had an issue on my wife's side of the family and I did not get a chance to ship off items until today. I am terribly sorry for the delay of a few days but items are on the way! I am sorry if I have not been quick to respond to any PM messages too. I will be checking and replying soon.

Thanks for understanding.

John,

I'm missing the brake line retainer for the rear brake line as it goes past the clutch area. Its a looped piece of sheet metal which is held in place by two clips. Let me know please as my B's up and going but need to secure the line.

Many thanks

I'm still waiting too. In your other post about him, another forum member said there was a phone number listed for him, maybe you can give that a call and leave a message. If he hasn't replied in about a week or so, it sounds like something bad may have happened and he needs to focus his time and attention to that matter. I see he's been a forum member for a while so its not like he's a fly buy night sort of guy trying to get a couple of hundred bucks out of this forum and move on to another...but that's just my opinion.

I would just like to say I received my radiator from John just a few moments ago, by I assume (it was just a white van that sped away and had no label indicating such) Fed Ex or perhaps DHL? It was in the described condition and picture and it was packed extremely well. As I mentioned, it looks like he had other more important things to attend to, since it said it was shipped on the 15th. I am satisfied, and I hope everyone gets their things soon and are satisfied as well. If this was ebay I would have already made contact with Paypal, but this is our forum, so I wasn't too concerned. I will also post this to the other thread.

I've PM'd and tried to find out what happened to John, but luck, no answer..... One fellow recently did receive a part that he paid for, but I paid for mine quite some time ago and have received nothing, no response either.

The fellow that did receive the part indicated the return address was from an independent mailer company, so I am unsure how to find the seller by conventional means.

I will probably be down around his area in the very near future and will plan to see if I can locate him. Can't be too hard to find driving a nice car like that! Hope he's ok and not in a car accident or something.

JOHN - IF YOU'RE OUT THERE, DROP US A LINE! :spinning:

Nope. Seemed normal enough as of 12/03. Was going to get some pictures of the shell, which I was interested in. Admitted it was very difficult moving the thing around with no steering, which had been removed. Never heard back after that. Most curious. Seemed serious about getting rid of the whole thing, one way or another, then poof.
