For anyone who considered going to the Pate swap meet and didnt---you didnt miss anything. I saw 2 TR 6's in restored condition; a Spitfire needing restoration; one misc box of parts for a B; and a B-GT on a trailer possiblt on the way to the Raceway as we were leaving.
Let's see: 9-10 hours drive time; two nights in motel; meals; misc expenses; only a couple of parts ( for other projects)---------yeah, I had a great time.
There would have been a red '71 B-GT, but someone snapped it up a few weeks ago at a local Brit show.

That's good news for me, since I'm local in Dallas. Our youngest turned one this weekend, so I wasn't free.
If this meet is annual, I'll make it next year.

Yes, it is annual; this was the 35th anniversary for Pate. It has been at the Texas Motor Speedway for several years. The estimate is 10,000 vendors. I think ebay has really hurt the big swap meets.

Good thing that 71 GT didn't go. Someone would have snatched it up quick! ;-)
