That's the first sonic headlight switch I've ever "heard" of.
Presuming the contacts aren't rusted to start with, they will rust up fairly soon down there in the floorboard of a convertible.

On my RHD 1962 roadster that switch is actually on the 'hump' on the side of the tunnel, so it's actually not right down on the floor. At least I think so without actually going out and looking!

The '67 my Son and I pillaged last summer had one on the floorboard and we tried to get it off. It didn't want to come off and I wasn't prepared to loose a hand over it. It wasn't ceased either, which amazed me.
