I sold more than a few set of the 15x6 VTO wheels to MGA owners, but I don't have any file photos of the cars with the wheels on them, if anyone who post here has VTO wheels on there MGA, and has a good picture of them, could you please send me copy of that photo via email, also if you would let me know what tire size you are running. My email can be reach by clicking on my link at the bottom of this post. Thank you.

I here ya Gary :D

Andy, I looking for MGA with VTO wheels on them, those are Minitor wheels. Both I and VTO Prescott have sold more than few sets of these for MGAs, we just never got any photos of them on the cars.

Here's a photo from the Superlite days, this is the 15x6 +24mm on a MGA coupe

While we're trolling for photos, I'd like to see either the "Lemans" or "Retro4" on an A.

I bought one vto wheel 8 months ago from gbcarparts for test fit, i used a 195/65/15 sumitomo htr 200 tire. Test drove it on the front and nothing rubbed, looks really nice though i dont like the plastic center caps and when installed they chip off all the paint around the wheel hub area. Wheel still looks good without center cap, so i might run them without. When i get around to buying 3 more wheels and tires, i will post pictures.

Never sold any Retro 4s or Lemans to the A crowd yet, but they are made in the same exact offsets, but the B and Triumph guys are tearing them up, The MGB crowd is the 800 pound gorilla of the LBC alloy wheel market, I put VTO wheels on over a 100+ MGBs each year, plus all the other cars. When you A guys get ready, we're ready for you all. B-)

Tetvirus, there are other center cap options with VTO, although I had personally had 5 sets of VTO on my own cars, and never had a issue with the caps on any of them, I had really dumb folks try to prick them off the front side with a screwdrivers, but you can't teach people common sense :D. Some of the center caps options don't work on a MGBs, but I think thats mostly the tube axle MGBs in the rear, it has to do with rear hubs and needing a deeper center caps, we have lower profile caps. These days everyone center caps are plastic, including Panasport, if we made them in chromed tin (which nobody has done in 20+ years) or aluminum, then folks would complain about how much they cost, because they would be really, really expensive. Hey if got a lathe, or access to a lathe, you can make a set of aluminum ones for yourself, would be a easy lathe project for the craftman kinda of guy.

Landon, those are Minitor spline drive wheel more than likely, look on the wheel and see if says Minitor on it anyhwere, so it a wee bit more involved than a center cap and wee bit more expensive. I had a buddy with Moss bought Minitor spline drive have two center adapters splines strip out (way more more common than one would think) due to worn hubs, he called Moss, they just wanted to sell him more wheels, he later found out MGOC in the UK would sell him just the centers, and got them there, they just bolt on to the center on those wheels. Now be ready to prepare yourself, they will not be cheap, spline adpater cost more to make than the wheels, don't be shocked to find out they will cost you as much as a bolt on wheel would each.

Funny story about DOT spline wheel load testing. We were heavily involved in the Superlite distributor days in the invention and R&D of the Superlite splined wheels, my 67 GT was used as the R&D and a test bed for those wheels. During the stage of DOT load testing, which one should know is way greater load forces than most of us would ever encounter in real life, we failed the DOT load test over, and over again, but it is not what you would think. Brand new stock MG splined hubs were part of the DOT load test jig, and thats what kept failing the damn test, they would break, well it was not our job to test this part, but rather the wheels, but the ssplined hib was need as part of the test jig, so to get the wheel to pass the load test we had to make a super strong solid steel splines MG hubs, so the MG part would not fail, and the wheel would pass the load test :D
