Planning a carb swap from the ZS on my 1980.
Purchased an HS4 set off ebay. Was not impressed with how they were shipped or how they looked on arrival.
Purchased an HIF set from another MGE member. The were nicely packaged and look nicer.

I'm still short some parts and pieces on each. That's for another thread.
Picture shows sets from the front and the back.

Which set would you suggest I spend the money on?

I can't offer any advise, but I bought a set of rebuilt hif-4's last spring to replace ZS in my '78 'b. unfortunate, other expenses have come up and I haven't gotten around to installing them. Let me know how you like whichever pair once you are done.

From what I here there is really not much performance difference between hif or hsf.

The HIFs if for no other reason than the throttle shafts and bushings will probably not have to be replaced.
