While changing out my tie rod ends and steering gaitors this weekend, I noticed that there is a bit of asymetry about the "locators" that lie inboard of the sway bar mount bushings. The driver side is against the bushing while the passenger side is inches away.
What is the proper position for these? Hard up against the mount bushing or some clearance?
Greg.

They should be up against the bushings.

I don't believe it's a good idea to have them contacting the bushings, but they should be close. The purpose is to keep the bar from shifting when cornering.
