For those flying or driving in to Denver prior to the event there is a discount group rate at the Days Inn in Golden

http://www.daysinn.com/DaysInn/control/index?variant=

Code is MGS, room rate is $69.00

You might want to stay an night or two to get acclimatized to 5000 feet before going up to 9000 feet in Breck. I have stayed at this property and it is an excellent location and close to the start point for the Wednesday morning convoy to Breck.

Peter,

Good Choice. Only about 9 miles away from the Cussler Museum.
I am going to look into this :)

I'm looking at a night in the Stanley Hotel a few miles north of Denver in Estes Park. For anyone driving through scenic South Dakota, its only a couple miles out of the way. If you're not familiar with the hotel, just Google it - its got an interesting history. (aka the Overlook Hotel from "The Shining")

If you really want a great drive go from Estes Park up through Rocky Mountain National Park to Trail Ridge the highest point and then down to Grand Lake on the other side. Have lunch at Grand Lake Lodge on the outdoor deck that over looks the lake. Great old hotel and great view and food.

We'll definitely take that under advisement! Sounds like a spectacular drive!

We have signed contracts with the Holiday Inn, The Marriott Denver West and the Days Inn for pre-event attendies in Denver. I have added the information on the web site. Go to the events page and click on the link to the pre-events
